Hardison turns 3! // Lifestyle session // Victoria, BC

How has a  whole year flown by already?? Hardison is turning 3!! Party prep was getting started for his birthday celebration, streamers galore, crafty hats and delicious carrot cake (a Hardison favourite).  But the day before the big party I got to spend the morning with Hardison playing and capturing some of our "classic" shots.  I've been so lucky to watch him grow up and every year when we get together to shoot I am thankful that I met Nicole + JP on a Westjet flight (pssst always say hello to your seat neighbour you never know who you will meet!).

As always Hardison is a joy to play with its so fun to see how he is changed and grown over the year. This year?? While his best buds remain (the usual suspects puppy, Peter, and his cat), he enjoys playing doctor, drumming beats with his dad, he still loves his books, his imagination is running wild, he is creative, loves to play dress up, dig in the rocks and sand, pickles have emerged on the scene as a favourite snack and fun faces for the camera too ;).

Nicole + JP have made some very special photo books over the last 3 years for Hardison. Full of personal photos, written text and snippets from our sessions. They are SUCH a treasure and every year Im blown away by the effort and care that Nicole puts into making them.

This year Grandma + Grandpa were visiting to celebrate and escape the chilly prairie temperatures! So of course we included them too!
