Larkin + Scott // Married - Kingfisher Resort and Spa Courtenay, BC
Larkin's sister Cori contacted me just 15 days before her sister's wedding was booked to take place. Larkin + Scott are accountants at the same firm in Seattle, they had been engaged for 2 years a demanding work schedule pushed the date farther into the future than they had originally thought. Through that waiting, their anticipation built. So when a free weekend came up at the end of November they decided to jump at the opportunity to run away and tie the know. Romantic! Larkin was incredible finding her dress and veil off Craigslist. Sourcing florals and hair/makeup from afar she pulled it all together beautifully. Thanks to Larkin + Scott I shot my first elopement on a chilly day in late November at Kingfisher Resort and Spa in Courtenay 2 weeks ago...and I couldn't be happier with the results. These portraits were shot around 3pm in the afternoon, after the sun had fallen behind the tree line and was on its way to setting (my favourite lighting of all!!). There was frost on the seagrass and a nip in the air. Larkin + Scott climb rocks and jumped over creeks without missing a beat. I am so thankful when couples fearlessly commit to creating beautiful portraits, trusting in my vision and doing whatever it takes. You both were a complete joy to work with and I wish you all the happiness in the world!
